We are thrilled to announce the appointments of some internal candidates into key Leadership roles for our upcoming 2018/2019 Academic School year. Promotion from within is further recognition of the quality staff we have here at SSIS and the commitment we have in ensuring our school's mission and vision continue well into the future. We are also excited to announce a new member joining us in August, allowing a fresh perspective within our leadership team.
Calling snow days last week was a big decision affecting not just our 1130+ students, but their families and our staff as well. Not calling them this week was an equally complex and difficult decision. So how did we make these calls?
This week our Nursery students took part in a “Celebration of Learning” where families were invited in to share in a very special event related to our theme Where We are in Place and Time.
Report cards provide a summary of your child’s achievements over the semester. They include information on academic, social and self-management development across many subjects. To make the most of your child’s report card here are some points to consider.
We at SSIS are committed to engaging in clear, timely and respectful communication at all times, to support our community in the fulfilment of this, it is my pleasure provide further details of the first Secondary School Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC). The PTC will take place on Saturday 3rd March from 9.00am until 4.00pm (last appointment at 3.50pm). The Online booking system will open Tuesday 27th February at 8:30am. It will close at 11:59pm Thursday 1st of March.
On the 26th February – 9th March 2018, Grade 12 students will sit Mock Exams. These exams are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of content learned and also serve as an opportunity for teachers to assess student learning and progress.
The SSIS swim team braved the cold winter condition twice in recent weeks to put together great results at the Nanjing Invitational Swim meet on Jan 20-21 and most recently the first Dulwich Minhang Long Course Invitational on Saturday Feb 3.
