Teachers are paid according to their years of teaching experience on a 20-step remuneration scale. The starting annual net remuneration ranges from RMB 267,120 and a new teacher's maximum entry annual gross salary (on Step 11) is RMB 310,860. Each year, teachers whose employment is renewed will advance one step on the salary scale until they reach the top of the scale, which is an annual net salary of RMB 398,340.

SSIS will assist all new faculty in receiving appropriate employment and residence permits, including multiple entry visas to China. Requirements according to Chinese labour regulations:
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Not above 60 years of age
We require a clearance of criminal records and successful background check for all staff working with our students. Please be prepared to submit such documents from your country of origin and the country of your current residence, if different.
