At SSIS students have an amazing opportunity to explore their interests in the performing arts either on stage as a member of the Dramatic Society or as a member of one of the many musical or choir groups.

SSIS Dramatic SocietyThe purpose of the SSIS Dramatic Society is to allow students the ability to experience front stage acting and backstage technical areas in a theatre production. The SSIS Dramatic Society holds two major performances each year in the Main Auditorium one during Semester 1 and one during Semester 2. This year the SSIS Dramatic Society performed Oliver Twist and incorporated students from all divisions of the school. Additionally, in May 2009 the school will host the first ACAMIS One-Act Play competition.

SSIS Music ProgramSSIS students have an opportunity to develop their musical skills at all levels of their schooling, at all ability levels, and in a number of different musical areas. Currently, students can join the solo ensemble, beginner string orchestra, choir, orchestra sectionals, advanced orchestra, or pep band. These are year round programs that practice both during and after school.
