SSIS is a dynamic and exciting place to teach. The Grade 3 team consists of five returning teachers from last year and three returning teachers from other grades at SSIS. Our team possesses a great deal of teaching experience and a solid understanding of the Units of Inquiry.

Grade 3 consists of 6 classes, 4 mainstream classrooms and 2 ESL intensive classes. Mainstream classes average 21 students and intensive classes average 11 students.

SSIS follows the Primary Years Programme - an inquiry based curriculum. Science, History, Geography and PSE are all incorporated into what is called the ‘Programme of Inquiry’ (POI). English and Maths are incorporated into the POI or they may be taught separately. Weekly Specialist lessons include; Physical Education, Art, Music, Computers, Library and Chinese.
