Monica Orosz(7L)
Greetings. My name is Monica Orosz and I am a Middle School teacher at
SSIS. I am originally from Toronto, Canada and am enjoying my second year
living in Suzhou. My responsibilities at the school have included teaching
Science and Physical Education, as well as coaching a variety of sports
teams, including the middle school soccer team and both the Junior Varsity
Soccer and Basketball teams. I have also been entrusted to head one of our
Grade 7 Homerooms, 7L. Homeroom teachers are the first point of contact for your children to raise any questions or concerns they may be having during the school day. Students are encouraged to discuss any issues they may have with us to try and resolve any problems that may arise. My name is Cao Jing and I am from Suzhou. This is my eighth year as a Suzhou Singapore International School teacher. I taught in Primary PE for four years . Shukufeh Ahmadzadegan(7E)
My name is Shukufeh Ahmadzadegan and I am a Middle School teacher at SSIS. The students call me Mrs. A. I was born in Iran, but my nationality is American. Beside United States, I have lived in many different countries namely South Africa, Botsawan, Israel, China, Portugal and now I am happy to be back in China which is one of my favorite countries. This is my third year at SSIS. I teach English and I am also the 7E Homeroom teacher. I believe in group work and cooperation and not in competion. I also believe that each child is potencially created with many talents, abilities and wonderful qualities and that the proper education will enable him/her to develop them. For this reason I hope that with your help we can bring about a better futue for your child, which in turn will effect the future of the world. Greetings to all. My name is Nadine Bastow and I am from Perth, Western
Australia, a beautiful place with fantastic beaches. My husband, Michael
Bastow, teaches Mathematics at SSIS and we have 3 small boys. Although I have over a decade of experience in the classroom back in Australia this is my second year at SSIS. Hello, my name is Chuck Pollard and I am originally from the State of
Wisconsin in the USA. Before coming to Suzhou 6 years ago, I studied
Chinese and taught in Taiwan. At SSIS I teach Middle School Humanities and specialize in classes for students who need English support. I am also the grade 7 R Homeroom teacher and the Cross Country running coach. I
especially enjoy helping students from many different backgrounds come
together and enjoy their time at SSIS while they discover new things about

My name is Miao Ling Ling and I am a native of China. I have taught Chinese at SSIS for 3 years and I especially look for new ways to teach students so they can enjoy and progress in their studies. This year I will also be one of the Grade 7R Homeroom co-teachers. I look forward to spending time advising and guiding students in their everyday school life. My name is Hamish Wilson and I am originally from Christchurch, New Zealand. This is my eighth year as an International School Teacher. I taught in Thailand for four years and I am now in my fourth year at SSIS. This year I have three roles, one is as homeroom teacher for 7N, the second is as Middle School Middle School Learning Support teacher, and the third is teaching Middle School Maths to Grades 7 and 8.
