The Secondary School offers a vibrant programme including visual arts, drama, music ensembles and choirs to cater for students of varying abilities.

These clubs generally meet after school from 3:30pm to 5:00pm on different days of the week and some lunchtimes. In previous years activities have included symphony orchestra, drumming group, glee singing group, acapella singing group, jazz ensemble, contemporary strings ensemble, Secondary choir, Secondary musical production, one-act play writing and performing, puppetry, yoga, dynamic yoga dance, salsa dance, ballet, contemporary and jazz dance, hip hop, private music lessons, minecraft, digital photography, design in wood, ceramics, pottery, drawing and painting. (Please note that activities offered change from season to season and may not always be available.)

SSIS is a member of ACAMIS (Association of Chinese and Mongolian Schools), who hold an annual Middle and High School Cultural and Arts Festival. These festivals are hosted by different schools in the ACAMIS network and enable students to come together for three days to participate in a series of workshops and to enjoy fellowship with like-minded students from other schools.
