Gary Post
Secondary School Math
Teacher
I studied at Otago University, New Zealand and worked as a geologist for a short time in New Zealand and Canada. Upon my return to New Zealand I trained as a secondary school teacher and commenced teaching in 1975. Initially I taught Geography and Social Studies, but my education and interest in science and mathematics caused me to move into teaching in these fields, and, more recently, exclusively in mathematics. I find teaching internationally very rewarding and I am fortunate to have had experience in The Cook Islands, Mongolia, Laos, India and China. I have experience teaching MYP Mathematics, IGCSE and IBDP Maths Studies, and Standard and Higher Levels. In addition I have at various times been an IBD Coordinator, a CAS Coordinator and a Head of Mathematics. Presently I am Head of Mathematics at SSIS and I am teaching MYP and IBDP Math, and I look forward to continuing my association with the school.
