High school Math Applications teacher-----Glen Russell

I completed my Undergraduate degree as a Double Major in Mathematics and History at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Afterwards I pursued my teacher training at Nipissing University in Ontario, Canada.  Before starting to work at SSIS in 2008, I taught at a private school in Canada, worked as an Educational Assistant in Scotland, and worked as a camp counsellor for children with Learning Disabilities for six years.
 In my short time at SSIS, I have taught High School Math at a variety of different levels.  This has included:  Grade 9 and 10 math at both the standard and support level, and Grade 11 and 12 classes in the IB Diploma and our High School Diploma.Also, I have been involved with the intramural program, the production of "A Haunting We Will Go", and all homeroom activities for 10L. High school Math SL, AP Calculus Theater ------ Mark Smith

I studied Mathematics at University of Houston - Victoria, before doing post-graduate work at Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA, as part of the Rice University School Mathematics Project.
 My first experience as an educator was  in Missouri City, Texas.  I taught mathematics at a public school there for 3 years before joining SSIS in 2008 Since starting here, I have taught Mathematics and been involved with the Theater program as well as the integration of laptops and other technology into day-to-day education.

High School Mathematics , IB HL HSD Precalculus teacher ------Evelien Vandevelde

I studied Applied Mathematics and had my teacher training at the University of Ghent before doing a postgraduate in Actuarial Sciences at the University of Brussels.

I started my career as a teacher in Belgium, where I taught mainly Mathematics, but also Physics and ICT to High School students. A few years later I had to leave my teaching duties to follow my husband, who was sent as an expat to Istanbul, Turkey.  In 2006, a new opportunity was calling in Suzhou. High School Physics and Math teacher------Aaron Krajeski

I studied at the College of William & Mary, in Virginia, USA and graduated with a degree in physics.

After graduating I worked in a high-energy physics laboratory on the MINERvA project, an international effort to study the neutrino.

At SSIS I teach year 9 and 10 math standard level, year 11 IB math standard level, year 11 math applications, and year 11 physics standard and higher level. This is my first teaching job.
