‘First Year of School’ Presentation T-shirts
On Friday November 9th, the Nursery children met up with the year 11 students to receive their ‘First Year of School’ t-shirts, to commemorate this huge milestone in the lives. Congratulations to all of our Nursery children!
It was really lovely to see the interactions between our youngest children and some of our oldest students.


Around the grades
The Nursery children are really settled now and we can already see their increasing independence! Over the break, Nursery C will move to the larger room DS 107 so that they have the same extensive facilities that the other two classes enjoy. Their old classroom will become the nap room which will be a little more peaceful away from the outside doors and the stairs.
On Wednesday the Pre Kindergarten had a lovely afternoon picnic as a finishing off activity for their unit on family and friends. What a lovely sight to see teachers, students and parents enjoying the beautiful weather and the gardens outside the Pre K rooms!
Kindergarten students have had a great start to the year through their Celebrations unit (which will be revisited throughout the year for different festivals). They are excited about starting the new unit on Games and are looking forward to sharing their learning with you.

Book Week
This exciting event is planned for the end of October. Lots more details will be available after the break, but I would like to give you advance warning that there will be a dress up parade. You may wish to start thinking about a costume from a favourite book character for your child.
