Tasha Copeland-Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten Coordinator/Nursery Teacher

I graduated from teachers training college in New Zealand in 1996 with a Diploma. Over the years I have studied part time to obtain by Bachelor of Education.  I worked full time for 11 years in the Early Childhood sector in New Zealand before coming to SSIS. This is my fourth year teaching at SSIS. I began teaching in Kindergarten and then changed to Nursery, where I currently enjoy making an inquiry based curriculum programme work in a fun and age appropriate learning environment for young children.

Mary Yu - Nursery Chinese Teacher

I studied Preschool Education in the Nanjing Normal University and received my associate degree in 1999. After graduating, I starting teaching but kept studying during my work time. In 2008, I passed all the Self-Study Examination at the Nanjing Institute of Education and received my University Diploma.
I worked at the Educational Kindergarten of Suzhou for 5 years before I joined SSIS. I have taught children from 2 years old to 6 years old. I taught children various subjects such as language, math, science, art and so on. I join SSIS in 2004 as an Early Year Chinese teacher. I have taught 3 years in Kindergarten and this is my forth year teaching in Nursery.

Thaimma Lariosa - Nursery Teacher

I am Ms. Thaimma Lariosa and I am from Manila. I am a graduate of Early Childhood Education and I am currently taking short courses to further my knowledge in Special Education in the University of the Philippines. I have been teaching in Early Years for 8 years. After I graduated, I took up a Nursery and Kindergarten teaching post for a year in a Turkish private school in Manila. Then I relocated and lived in Indonesia for 2 years where I taught Kindergarten and Primary Art in a British-Singaporean International school. This is my 6th year in SSIS. I enjoy working in SSIS and I am pleased to have a wonderful bunch of clever students and supportive parents every year.

Petty Zhang - Nursery Chinese Teacher

Hello, I'm Petty. This year I'm glad to be the Chinese teacher for Pre-KA. I graduated from Suzhou Education College with amajor in Early Years Education in 2002. I gained my English Education Degree from Nan Jing Teacher'sUniversity in 2008. I enjoy singing and dancing and love teaching children Chinese. I have been an early years teacher since 1999. This is my 6th year at SSIS and my 13th year in the early childhood field. I am looking to a wonderful year with your children.
