Eileen Hurley - Librarian

I earned an undergraduate degree in English and History at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, then completed a master’s degree in English Literature at Queen’s University, also in Ontario.  Later, I earned a bachelor of education from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education/University of Toronto. I have worked in libraries at all levels from elementary to post-secondary and in public and government libraries.  My first teaching job was in a high school in Canada’s Arctic where I lived with my family for three years.  While there, I taught all grades from 6 to 12.  I was also responsible for the school library.  Before coming to SSIS, I worked as an academic advisor for seven years at Trent University. This is my second year as Elementary Teacher-Librarian at SSIS.
