Students learn through six transdisciplinary themes (in Nursery this is 4 units; in Pre-K this is 5) that focus on globally significant issues, namely: Who we are, Where we are in place and time, How we express ourselves, How the world works, How we organise ourselves and Sharing the planet. These transdisciplinary themes are inquired into, and learned about, in units of inquiry.

Science and Social studies are taught through the units of inquiry and links are made to English, Maths and other single subject areas such as Art, Music, PE and Chinese.

	An inquiry into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities, and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.
Who we are	一个有关自然体、信念、和价值观的调查；一个有关个人的、物理上、精神上、社交力和心理健康的调查；一个有关家庭中、朋友间、社团内的人际关系，文化的调查；权利、责任，人类的真正含义。

	An inquiry into orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys; the discoveries, explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations, from local and global perspectives.
Where we are in place and time	一个有关时间和地点的定位的调查;个人发展史；家族进程；人类的发现史，探索史和迁徙史；宏观上和微观上个人和社会的联系。
	장소와 시간에 대한 안내에 따른 조사; 개인 역사; 집과 여행장소; 발견, 개척과  인류의 이동; 지역적인 것과 세계적인 것에서 산업과 문명의 관계와 상호연결.

 

	An inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values; the ways in which we reflect on, extend and enjoy our creativity; our appreciation of the aesthetic.
How we express ourselves	一个有关我们发现和表达想法、感受的调查，自然、文化，信念和价值，我们回顾、扩展和欣赏我们的创造力；我们审美观
	발견하기 위한 조사 그리고 아이디어를 표현, 느낌, 본질, 문화, 믿음과 가치; 우리가 초래하는 방법들 제공과 즐기는 우리의 창조성; 미를 평가하는 기준.

 

	An inquiry into the natural world and its laws; the interaction between the natural world (physical and biological) and human societies; how humans use their understanding of scientific principles; the impact of scientific and technological advances on society and on the environment.
How the world works	试析自然世界及其规律的调查，对自然世界之间的相互作用（物理和生物）和人类社会，人类如何利用他们了解科学原理，对社会的科学和技术进步的影响和对环境

	An inquiry into the interconnectedness of human-made systems and communities; the structure and function of organizations; societal decision-making; economic activities and their impact on humankind and the environment.

	An inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution.
Sharing the planet	一个有关和他人及其它生物统共对有限的资源需承担的权利和义务; 两者间的共有关系；获得平等的机会；和平与争端的解决
	타인과 타인의 삶과 관련된 제한된 자원의 공유에 대한 의무와 책임에 대한 탐구; 인간과 인간사이에서 그들과  함께 할 조직과 관계;  기회균등 제공; 평화와 충돌에 대한 해결.
