Parents

One of the greatest strengths of SSIS is the partnership between school and home.

SSIS very much appreciates and values the involvement of parents in our school. There are many ways parents can become involved, regardless of whether they have a lot of time to spare or work full time. The Elementary and Secondary Schools hold regular parent gatherings on a range of topics and parents can volunteer for activities such as the ‘Support a Reader’ programme, drama production and sports teams.

Parent School Partnership

The Parent School Partnership (PSP) is a parent led organization that works with the staff to build a strong school community. We are an inclusive group and welcome all nationalities to join us. Our goal is open communication between home and school. We want parents to be involved and contributing to their child's success.

We meet monthly in BS101. Please join us to find out how you can be involved and make a difference at SSIS.

For more information regarding the PSP go to the PSP pages on DragonNet (password required); where you can find meeting minutes, and other important information about upcoming events.

DragonNet Parent Hub

DragonNet is our Virtual Learning Environment and is used to support course work in the Secondary School as well as to provide access to official school policies and lots of other practical information. For parents DragonNet has a special ‘hub’ page that provides easy access to all commonly needed resources: canteen menu, bus schedules, the Parent Handbook and school policies.

As a parent you will receive the login details of your DragonNet account via email, usually around the second day your child is in school.
